Come volunteer in our parks!

The 2023 event season is now open. See below for opportunities in Highbridge and Sherman Creek Parks in Northern Manhattan.

  • Registration is mandatory for every monthly event.
  • In addition to a registration form, you must also complete this Volunteer Release Form. Minors must complete this release form.
  • Meetings may be canceled due to inclement weather or holidays.
  • Confirmed registration is currently capped at 20 individuals per event. 

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Highbridge Forest Crew: Assist with Highbridge Park’s forest stewardship and restoration. Volunteers will learn about the forest and participate in planting projects.

Sherman Creek Stewards: Projects include gardening, litter removal, wetland stewardship, composting, and working in the Riley-Levin Children’s Garden.
