Sherman Creek Stewards

We welcome volunteers April through October. 

Volunteers will learn about the Harlem River shoreline. Local residents, high school and college students, and environmental enthusiasts are encouraged to attend regularly.

Time: 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Location: The entrance of 3703 10th Ave (just north of P.S.5 Ellen Lurie School)

Meeting Location

  • Registration is mandatory for every monthly event.
  • In addition to a registration form, you must also complete this Volunteer Release Form. Minors must complete this release form.
  • In compliance with the New York City Department of Health, NYRP is required to obtain a signed attestation of full COVID-19 vaccination status for anyone volunteering in NYRP community garden or NYRP managed public park sites.
  • All volunteers are asked to show up on time and wear a mask and long pants. Bring a water bottle and avoid open-toed shoes. We will observe all COVID-19 public safety protocols.
  • Meetings may be canceled due to inclement weather or holidays.
  • Confirmed registration is currently capped at 20 individuals per event.
