UPDATE: REGISTRATION IS FULL! All trees for this event are registered. Walk-up recipients are welcome to pick up a tree during the second hour of the giveaway, from 3:00 p.m. onwards. All remaining trees are first-come, first-served until all trees are distributed. We always have trees remaining for the second hour for anyone who missed the chance to register in advance.

BONUS GIVEAWAYS: Queens Botanical Garden and NYC Parks will be distributing free 20 lb bags of compost and woodchips while supplies last! If you plan to pick up woodchips, please bring your own container for transportation.

For Community Gardens on NYC Parks Property: Garden groups must get prior written permission from GreenThumb to plant new trees, perform major pruning such as limb removals, or remove existing trees, even if damaged, diseased, or dead. NYC Parks has very strict laws governing tree removal on NYC Parks property. Fines can be significant for improper removals.
