📚🌿 Harlem Garden Book Club’s July Pick: Dominicana by Angie Cruz (RSVP AT LINK IN BIO!)

This month, we’re reading Angie Cruz’s ‘Dominicana,’ a beautifully written novel about Ana Canción, a young Dominican woman who moves to New York City in the 1960s after marrying a man twice her age.

Set between the Dominican Republic and Washington Heights, the book explores immigration, sacrifice, marriage, identity, family pressure, and the complicated dream of building a new life in America.

It’s a rich, emotional story that gives us so much to discuss!
