Preparing for Spring: An Intro to Crop Planning

This event is hosted in partnership with the Randall’s Island Park Alliance, New Roots Community Farm (Bronx), and New Roots Community Garden (Queens). 

Join Ciara Sidell of the Randall’s Island Urban Farm and the NYRP Urban Ag team for an introduction to the farm and/or garden planning process. This classroom-based session will dive head on into how the Randall’s Island Urban Farm plans for their growing season. It will also provide an overview of some basic crop planning principles, such as: companion planting, timing, and successions. Growers of all experience and skill levels are encouraged to join.

NOTE: Registration is required for this workshop. ATTENDANCE WILL BE CAPPED AT 20 PEOPLE, after which anyone else who registers will automatically be added to a waitlist.
