Air Pruned Raised Beds 102

This event is hosted in partnership with Cornell Small Farms

Join Connor Youngerman of Cornell Small Farms and the NYRP team for a deep dive into how to harvest from and winterize Air Pruned Raised Beds (APRBs). Following on the initial workshop in April, this session will come full circle on how to implement APRBs as a propagation strategy. APRBs have been shown as an excellent method for growing a suite of urban tree species and hold great promise as a tool for forestry practitioners in NYC. Participants will have the opportunity to harvest and prepare saplings from the two APRBs, transplant them, and learn about overwintering the beds as a strategy.

NOTE: Registration is required for this workshop. ATTENDANCE WILL BE CAPPED AT 25 PEOPLE, after which anyone else who registers will automatically be added to a waitlist.
