Connecting with Cotton

This event is hosted in partnership with Deep Routes and Mumbet’s Freedom Farm

Join Maya Marie from Deep Routes, Sunder Ashni from Mumbet’s Freedom Farm, and the NYRP Urban Ag team for a collective experience of connecting with cotton through sensory based exploration, storytelling, agricultural skill sharing, and creative play. During our time together, participants will have space to connect with and deepen our relationships to cotton in different forms.

This workshop is Part 2 of the Mumbet Freedom Farm CURE (cultivating understanding and restoring the earth) series, intending to nourish and center the experiences of those who identify as Black, Indigenous, and anyone with an inherited history of colonization in the Americas at large.

NOTE: Registration is required for this workshop. ATTENDANCE WILL BE CAPPED AT 20 PEOPLE, after which anyone else who registers will automatically be added to a waitlist.
