New York Restoration Project teamed up with longtime supporters Michael Kors and Lance LePere to build NYRP’s first ever solar-powered community garden.
Members use the garden to grow everything from peppers and tomatoes to eggplant and oregano. Along with magnificent foliage, Essex Street Community Garden features a beautiful shade structure and is equipped with charging stations, WiFi, solar powered security lights, and electricity for all public events and activities taking place in the gardens.
