Since 1995, New York Restoration Project has transformed underserved public spaces into cherished community hubs.
We work collaboratively with residents in communities across the five boroughs to renovate gardens, restore parks, plant trees, promote urban agriculture, and build partnerships that transform the city’s landscape. Today, over 1.6 million New Yorkers live within a 10-minute walk of an NYRP green space.
But our work is about more than beautification—it’s about people. For three decades and counting, we have helped bring neighbors together, spark community pride, and inspire a shared vision for a greener, more connected city. With creativity, determination, and an unstoppable spirit, we’re continuing to build a resilient city where nature belongs to everyone.
