SEEDNY

In 2019, Drew and Caroline Morris founded SEEDNY to do their part in sustaining New York City’s urban agriculture. This initiative has already raised $6000, which has helped fund New York Restoration Project’s annual seed budget. Additionally, Johnny’s Selected Seeds and Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds generously donated over 200 seed packets to be used in NYRP’s community gardens. As these seeds were planted throughout the five boroughs and utilized in K-8 education programs, they furthered NYRP’s mission of transforming open space in under-resourced communities to create a greener, more sustainable New York City. Caroline is now leading a new fundraising effort to help fund NYRP’s annual seedlings costs for the upcoming planting seasons.

SEEDNY is also partnering with the Fieldston School Robin Hood Giving Back Club and the Trinity School NYRP Club on a tool drive to help NYRP deliver gardening tools to community gardeners in New York City’s five boroughs. You can support gardening in New York City by gifting NYRP community members with new tools to help maintain and cultivate our 52 green spaces throughout the city. Each new item on our wishlist will help gardeners upgrade and expand their toolboxes.

Purchase a tool from NYRP’s wishlist here to support this SEEDNY Tool Drive and please fill out the form below to receive your donor acknowledgment letter.
