Volunteer: Sherman Creek Stewards

Come celebrate spring with some gardening. Help care for our native gardens with weeding and mulching. Native plants are the foundation of the terrestrial food web, even in New York City they are crucial to supporting biodiversity. We will demonstrate how to divide and transplant perennials with the opportunity to pot up and bring some plants home.

Sherman Creek Stewards will meet in Swindler Cove at Sherman Creek Park. Please enter the park just north of PS 5 (3703 10th Ave., New York, NY 10034) and follow the wood chip path to the gated section of the park, Swindler Cove. We will gather at the picnic tables near the small park building and bathroom.
