Tree Giveaway: Discovery Community Gardens and NYC Council Speaker Adrienne E. Adams

UPDATE: All available trees have been reserved for this event, but walk-up recipients are welcome to pick up a tree during the second hour of the giveaway. From 3:00 p.m. onwards, all remaining trees are first-come, first-serve. We always have trees remaining for the second hour for anyone who missed the chance to register in advance. Attendees can also pick up a free bag of DSNY’s Big Reuse Compost.

Native tree species to be distributed include: Eastern Redbud, Elderberry, Highbush Blueberry, Honey Locust, Sweetbay Magnolia, Washington Hawthorn, and Witchhazel.

Please note that tree sizes vary. Be prepared to transport up to a two-gallon pot size.
