Planned Giving

The New York Restoration Project’s Rose Society

All donors of planned gifts to New York Restoration Project (NYRP) are recognized and honored as members of  New York Restoration Project’s Rose SocietyTM – an important group that is helping to secure NYRP’s future.

Planned gifts include:

  • Creating a bequest to NYRP in the donor’s will.
  • Naming NYRP as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan.
  • Creating a life income gift plan that pays the donor income for life and then provides a gift for NYRP.
  • Establishing a trust that provides income for NYRP before passing assets to heirs.

Additional information is available in our Gift Planning Guide and Sample Codicil Text.

Such gifts help to sustain NYRP’s restoration projects and ensure that the eyesores we have transformed into oases remain clean and green community assets for future generations. And, while the satisfaction of giving back to the community is the primary intent, the value of a planned gift to the donor may also include enhanced tax benefits and possibly some return of income. Your lawyer or accountant may also provide further information on the benefits of planned giving.
