To all the wonderful attendees at 2017’s Spring Picnic in Sherman Creek Park, thank you so much for coming! It would not have been a success without your amazing support and presence. NYRP extends a special thanks to the Thompson Family Foundation for their efforts in supporting our work.

It was a pleasure to have our NYRP family and friends join us as we broke ground on the final two acres restoring a neglected stretch of the Harlem Riverfront back to public use. We are also excited to announce an Education Pavilion, which will be included in the second phase of this exciting project. This park, the jewel in our crown, represents 17 years of hard work and incredible community support. With donor support we were able to transform a hazardous dumping ground into the thriving open space it is today with education programs, unbeatable recreational activities, and a place for residents to find peace and calmness.

Donations to support NYRP and its ongoing work in Sherman Creek Park and other open spaces for communities throughout New York City’s five boroughs are still very welcome.

And, don’t forget to SAVE THE DATE for NYRP’s Hulaween 2017 on Monday, October 30th.
