Forest Crew Hands- On Orientation

Location:
2618 AMSTERDAM AVENUE, NEW YORK, NY 10033 (AT 190th STREET) (Map)
description:

The Forest Crew works on reforestation and restoration projects in the forest of Highbridge Park every Sunday afternoon-- all Spring, Summer and Fall. Forest Crew is open to community members who wish to drop in and volunteer on a weekly, bi-monthly and monthly basis. Community members, college and high school students, environmental enthusiasts, and those who are looking to enter the green collar field are strongly encouraged to attend.

Before beginning to drop in to Forest Crew on Sundays, volunteers are asked to attend ONE hands-on orientation!!

Saturday, April 1st we will have our first ORIENTATION for Forest Crew. Volunteers who attend the orientation will get a one hour tour of Highbridge Park AND will work for one hour completing tasks that are typical to Forest Crew.
It’s a nice way to get a taste for what the program has to offer and to learn about the history of Highbridge Park.

*1 Train to 191st Street*
