Highbridge Service Days

Highbridge Park is a valuable resource for the neighborhood of Washington Heights and for all New Yorkers! Join NYRP in our constant effort to maintain and restore this urban gem every Friday morning in January and February. Together we will remove trash and invasive species, and perform a multitude of tasks which will support the native ecology and the Mountain Biking Association. In addition to the High Bridge, water tower, and recreation center, Highbridge Park boasts important natural assets including open vistas and an unusual geologic makeup. Among its strongest features are the magnificent cliffs and large rock outcroppings that dominate the park. Today, community stakeholders such as the Friends of Highbridge Park, New York Restoration Project, and YOU work in conjunction with the Urban Park Rangers to improve the park for everyone.
Work in Highbridge Park requires that you wear CLOSED toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather!
