Salsa Stories is a community engagement program that activates open spaces in the communities where Salsa was born in the streets of NYC. Through music, social dancing, and art installations, it promotes community building, diversity and cultural heritage preservation.

This is a free community event bringing the following programming:

DJ music including sound system rental, 30m dance lesson, one multimedia installation: photo exhibit (pop-up or augmented reality) or testimony write-up & showcase.

– Multimedia art exhibition (featuring people from the local salsa community)

– Salsa dance workshop

– DJ – salsa music.

– Projections featuring interviews with local community members who contributed to the culture of salsa.
