DESCRIPTION:Tree Giveaway: Times Square \nUPDATE: Advance registration is full for all spring tree giveaways\, but walk-ups are still welcome.&nbsp\;During the second hour of each event\, trees will be available for walk-up recipients on a first-come\, first-served basis while supplies last. Please arrive near the start of the event to join the waitlist. \n \nThis event is in partnership with Broadway Green Alliance. \nLearn more about our tree giveaway program\, including additional event dates and locations\, our tree care guide\, and more resources&nbsp\;here. \nNative tree species to be distributed at this location include: \n \nBasswood \nEastern Redbud \nFlowering Dogwood \nHighbush Blueberry \nPawpaw \n \nPlease note that tree sizes vary.&nbsp\;Be prepared to transport up to a two-gallon pot size. \nShow us your tree and&nbsp\;tag @nyrp&nbsp\;for a chance to be featured on our social media! \nPLEASE NOTE: After you submit the below form\, you will receive a confirmation email with a ticket number. Thank you! \nFor Community Gardens on NYC Parks Property: Garden groups must get prior written permission from GreenThumb to plant new trees\, perform major pruning such as limb removals\, or remove existing trees\, even if damaged\, diseased\, or dead. NYC Parks has very strict laws governing tree removal on NYC Parks property. Fines can be significant for improper removals. \n \n
