DESCRIPTION:Tree Giveaway: Council Member Lincoln Restler and McCarren Park Demonstration Garden \nUPDATE: REGISTRATION IS FULL! All trees for this event are registered. Walk-up recipients are welcome to pick up a tree during the second hour of the giveaway\, from 3 p.m. onwards. All remaining trees are first-come\, first-served until all trees are distributed. Thank you! \nFor Community Gardens on NYC Parks Property: Garden groups must get prior written permission from GreenThumb to plant new trees\, perform major pruning such as limb removals\, or remove existing trees\, even if damaged\, diseased\, or dead. NYC Parks has very strict laws governing tree removal on NYC Parks property. Fines can be significant for improper removals. \n \n
