Spring Picnic Honors Marcus Samuelsson, Introduced by David Rockwell

Don’t forget to get your tickets! In addition to host Sandra Bernhard, we’ll be honoring chef Marcus Samuelsson of Red Rooster at NYRP’S annual Spring Picnic on June 1, 2016.

Marcus Samuelsson is the the award-winning chef behind New York City hotspots Red Rooster Harlem, Ginny’s Supper Club, and Streetbird Rotisserie. A committed philanthropist and the youngest person to ever receive a three-star review from The New York Times, Marcus was also the winner of Top Chef  Masters and Chopped All Stars, and served as the guest chef for the Obama administration’s first State Dinner. Samuelsson co-produced Harlem EatUp!, a food and culture festival launched in Harlem in 2015 and is the author of three books including a The New York Times-bestselling memoir.

Introducing Marcus will be David Rockwell, founder and president of award-winning architecture and design firm Rockwell Group. With projects including Nobu restaurants worldwide, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and W Hotels in New York, Paris and Singapore, Rockwell Group has carved out a unique role as a cross-disciplinary firm and received numerous awards for innovation in design.
