Tamsen Ann Ziff is Chairman of the Metropolitan Opera, a vice chairman of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, a member of the board of trustees of Carnegie Hall, and the founder and producer of the Caribbean Community Theater in St. Croix. She is vice chairman of Artist Tribe Foundation. She is also co-founder and founding chairman of the board of The Smile Train and was chairman of the Rainforest Alliance for six years. She currently serves on the boards of the American Museum of Natural History, Fairchild Tropical Garden, Maloto, Inc., the New York Restoration Project, WonderWork and the World Science Festival. She is also a member of the Visiting Committee of the Arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Mrs. Ziff, a former psychiatric social worker, designs jewelry under the name Tamsen Z.
