Hurricane sandy devastates NYRP Parks & Community Gardens

Pictured above: Highbridge Park. You can see more pictures of the beating our parks took on Facebook.

Re-Opened: Swindler Cove, Sherman Creek Park and Highbridge Park have re-opened. The bikepath has been opened.

We've been restoring parks and gardens in NYC's most underserved communities for nearly two decades - and our parks & gardens were hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. But we're New Yorkers and this storm only makes us more determined to make NYC a cleaner & greener place to live.

For those of us fortunate enough to still have our homes intact...

Help our clean-up efforts by donating much-needed funds.

You can also sign up to volunteer. We'll contact you with volunteer days or if there are opportunities to help in our gardens.

For companies that want to help, please contact Matt Shapiro at mshapiro@nyrp.org.
