Corporate Volunteer Days

Through New York Restoration Project’s (NYRP) Corporate Volunteer Program, employees have an opportunity to lend a hand and help make New York City a cleaner, greener, more inviting place to live and work. Whether helping to revitalize one of NYRP’s 55 community gardens, clearing debris from a neglected path through a city park or planting trees as part of the enormous MillionTreesNYC undertaking, volunteers get a real sense of accomplishment and enjoy a change of pace from their ordinary workday. NYRP Corporate Volunteer Days are also a great way to reduce carbon footprinting and give back to the New York City community.

This year, NYRP has a number of opportunities for groups of all sizes that can be tailored to meet the specific needs and interests of corporations. Corporate volunteer activities include planting trees, shrubs and flowers; cleaning up litter and debris; removing weeds and invasive vegetation; painting and small building projects – working alongside NYRP staff at sites located throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. NYRP coordinates all details of the program for participating corporations – large or small – customizing the Volunteer Day experience to meet each individual company’s budget and other requirements. NYRP can also assist in arranging for transportation and food service – as well as additional amenities such as entertainment, photography and giveaways – to make the experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible for volunteers.

NYRP requests a donation from every corporation for participation in our volunteer programs. Funds not only provide necessary supplies, materials and tools for each event, but also insure that the work NYRP does in neighborhoods throughout New York City can continue beyond each volunteer day. All donations are tax deductible.
