On Saturday, September 25th, NYRP will present its annual Little Red Lighthouse Festival along the banks of the Hudson River. Held in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, this year’s festival – located in Northern Manhattan’s historic Fort Washington Park – will introduce New York City youth and residents to all the ways they can combine two of our city’s greatest assets – the arts and nature.

A favorite amongst NYC families for many years, NYRP’s Little Red Lighthouse Festival celebrates the historic Lighthouse located along the Hudson River, as well as all the beauty and benefits our city’s great outdoors provides. Held from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, this event will feature a variety of eco-inspired and art-themed programming, ranging from lighthouse cookie decorating to interactive arts and hands-on craft activities to musical instrument making. Participants will even get the opportunity to experience a special appearance by performers from the Tony-Winning Best Musical BILLY ELLIOT!

Additional festival highlights include a special guest reading of the children’s classic book – The Little Red Lighthouse Festival – performances by local youth groups, lighthouse tours guided by NYC Park Rangers and delicious festival food.
