More than 500 friends and members of NYRP took our Supporter’s Survey and told us how they felt about all the clean, green work NYRP does throughout NYC.

72% of our survey responders think the NYRP program that offers the greatest benefit to New York City is our work transforming under-used, vacant and neglected lots into neighborhood community gardens.

NYRP’s gardens provide a haven of green in New York City's most under-served neighborhoods. Our gardens serve as urban farms, village greens, playgrounds, performance spaces and outdoor classrooms – whatever the community needs!

More than half of our survey respondents are most inspired by our goal to restore New York City’s under-served parks.

To date, NYRP, in conjucntion with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation has transformed more than 400 acres of overgrown, unkempt and unsafe parkland in Northern Manhattan into picnic areas and family-friendly visiting spaces.

30% of our respondents personally valued how NYRP’s work benefits the quality of life for New Yorkers.

Our MillionTreesNYC program alone has planted 375,000 trees across the city helping to provide cleaner water and air, higher property values, cooler summer streets and energy savings, not to mention they are beautiful, too!

And more than half of our respondents believe that their support of NYRP is an investment in a greener, healthier future for New York City.

And it’s true – your support of NYRP is an investment, an investment in the betterment of our city, our children, our economy, our air and our lives. We are working to change the face of this city, protecting urban health and encouraging community engagement for a cleaner, greener, happier and healthier future for generations to come.
